When getting your fingerprints done outside Canada, ensure the following requirements are met:
- Fingerprint Form Details:
- The form must include two complete sets of rolled fingerprints (10 fingers rolled individually per set).
- It must also include two sets of flat impressions:
- Four fingers together for each hand (left and right).
- Flat thumb impressions for both thumbs.
- Ink or Digital Fingerprinting:
- If using ink fingerprinting, the ink must be black ink.
- For digital fingerprinting, the fingerprints must be printed onto a physical fingerprint form.
- Verification Requirements:
- The fingerprint form must bear the signature of the officer who took the fingerprints.
- The form must also include the official stamp or seal of the agency where the fingerprints were taken.
- Notarization (if necessary):
- If the officer’s signature or the agency stamp/seal is missing, the fingerprints must be notarized to validate their authenticity.
Ensure these steps are followed to meet Canadian fingerprinting standards.
